Tulsa Zoo's newest exhibit, the Lost Kingdom is scheduled to open Monday, June 5, 2017.
Zoo officials say the Lost Kingdom is a $21-million exhibit complex that will provide an updated, naturalistic home to several species as well as some new species.
It will be the new home for some of Asia’s rarest and most elusive species, including Malayan tigers, snow leopards, Chinese alligators, siamangs, binturongs and Komodo dragons.
Wednesday, 6 In The Morning anchor LeAnne Taylor got sneak peek at the new exhibit complex at the Tulsa Zoo.
“This is the type of visionary exhibit that visibly reaffirms our commitment to the animals entrusted to our care. It will offer our guests year-round improved educational and viewing opportunities of several species that highlight important conservation issues,” said Tulsa Zoo President and CEO Terrie Correll.
Correll says the new exhibit will offer unique viewing opportunities. Like the Hille Foundation Tiger Bridge, which will allow the Malayan tigers to walk above zoo visitors to travel between outdoor spaces.
