(source KPIX) Firefighters rescued an elderly man from a well Saturday.
The man, in his 90s, fell into the well after the floor of a pump house gave way. That pump house is estimated to be around 100 years old.
Firefighters tossed a life jacket to the man, then they took apart the shed above the well so they could position themselves to help.
Rescue crews were eventually able to hoist the man to safety.
The man had been treading water for about two hours. He is reported to be recovering from possible hypothermia and cuts to his head and arms.
