A Junior at Blackwell High School in Kay County has been arrested for Felony Terrorism Hoax.
Police say Tuesday night he authored a post on Snapchat that showed an AR-15 type rifle, a rifle case, and a bunch of ammunition. Above the photo was the phrase “Don’t come to school tomorrow.”
Police were tipped off minutes later that it came from a Blackwell student.
“He knows he made a horrible decision yesterday. But he's gonna have to face those consequences," said Blackwell Police Chief, DeWayne Wood.
Blackwell High School classmates told News 9 that this was out of character for the 16-year-old.
Chief Wood says it will be up to prosecutors whether he will be charged as a juvenile or as an adult.
