Dallas Police Fires Officer Accused Of Fatally Shooting Man In His Apartment

The Dallas Police Department has fired the police officer accused of killing a man in his apartment.

Amber Guyger was fired during a hearing Monday.

According to a news release, the internal affairs investigation determined Guyger engaged in "adverse conduct" on Sept. 9, the night when Botham Jean was killed in his apartment.

Guyger had worked for the department since November 2013.

She was arrested on a manslaughter complaint a few days after the shooting.

The Dallas County District Attorney's Office has said a grand jury will determine the charges after the office conducts its own investigation.
