Taft Middle School Evacuated Due To Reported Haz-Mat Situation

A northwest Oklahoma City school evacuated after a report of a natural gas odor coming from inside the school, firefighters said.

Firefighters were called about 10:15 a.m. Thursday to Taft Middle School, 2900 NW 23rd Street.

Taft Middle School was evacuated while a haz-mat team and Oklahoma Natural Gas investigate the odor.

This evacuation affects about 840 students.
