Thunder fans reacted after they were told to go home just minutes before tipoff Wednesday night.
"As soon as they announced it the stadium was like boo! Haha, they were so mad,” said Thunder fan Shelby Elliot.
“I think he’s all right, I think he was scared to play OKC,” said Thunder fan Alex Carter.
“I said man, I hope it isn’t the coronavirus. And I asked the cop and he said someone was sick and I said oh, man!” said Lerson Anthony.
“It’s completely understandable. The player safety is of the upmost importance. I can’t be upset over them canceling the game, like this is a severe crisis,” said Thunder fan Hayden McCabe.
Disappointed Thunder fans left the stadium and were ushered out by police. They were initially told the game would only be postponed.
Over the intercom announcers told attendees "they were safe" while asking fans to calmly exit the arena.
It’s unclear when the game will be scheduled.
