A woman was arrested on multiple complaints after leading Norman police on a high-speed chase.

Just before 3 a.m., police attempted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Vicksburg Ave. when the suspects took off. Two passengers bailed out of the car a couple of blocks away at Brandywine and Bomont. Both were arrested.

Another officer stayed on the driver and used a tactical move at S.E. 16th and Sunnylane. The female driver, later identified as 26-year-old Rachel Renee Williams of Arcadia, got out and ran, but was tasered and taken into custody.

According to police, Williams had outstanding warrants through McClain County, one felony and one misdemeanor, and a suspended OK driver’s license.  Williams was also found to have CDS and paraphernalia in her possession, and appeared to be under the influence of narcotics.

Both passengers were later released after it was determined they had not committed a crime, police said.
