A judge has reduced sentence for a former McLoud teacher, who is serving time on multiple child exploitation and child pornography charges after she admitted to taking nude photos of her third-grade students and sending them to a former professor, over the objection of prosecutors.
Kimberly Crain had originally pleaded no contest to those charges. But in a deal with prosecutors, on March 22, 2013, Crain agreed to plead guilty to all 31 counts and was sentenced to 45 years in prison.

On Thursday, February 5, 2015, News 9 confirmed that Crain's sentence was reduced by 10 years. She is now serving 35 years in prison.
Crain's co-defendant, former professor of early childhood development Gary Doby of Pennsylvania, pleaded guilty to child exploitation charges and was sentenced to life in prison.
Prosecutors allege Crain took photos of young girls while they changed clothes in her third-grade classroom and her home, including photos of some of the girls naked, and sent the images to Doby.
In a letter to District Judge John Canavan Jr., Crain reportedly described her crimes and blamed her actions on a multitude of personal problems, including menopause, weight gain and depression. Crain claimed all those factors affected her mental health.
