Oklahoma Football: Knight Out With Injury For Texas Tech

Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops announced Thursday quarterback Trevor Knight hasn't been medically cleared to play Saturday against Texas Tech. The Sooners will turn to redshirt freshman Cody Thomas to start at quarterback in his place. 

Thomas is 7-for-16 for 50 yards and an interception on the season filling in for Knight or in mop up duty. Blake Bell will likely back up Thomas in the event of an injury.

Knight suffered the injury in the fourth quarter against Baylor and was carted off the field, though he later exited the stadium under his own power.

The Red Raiders are 3-6 overall and just 1-5 in Big 12 play this year.
