Creamy Corn Chowder
1 package Corn Chowder mix
2 boxes of chicken broth
3 ears fresh corn or 2 cups frozen corn
6 red potatoes, cubed
1 schwab's ham, cubed
1 pint half and half
green onions
cheddar cheese
In a large stock pot place 2 tablespoons olive oil and cook ham till browned. Add in the Corn Chowder soup mix, 2 cups broth, 1 corn cob (kernals removed and set aside), chopped potatoes and green chilis to a slow cooker. Cook on HIGH for 4 hours. Add in the half and half and fresh corn 30 minutes before serving. Top with cheddar cheese and green onions. Serve with green salad and garlic french bread.
