The National Weather Service says there were five tornadoes that struck the Oklahoma City metro area -- including one that officials say killed at least nine people.

Meteorologist Jonathan Kurtz with the weather service in Norman says survey teams that examined the damage on Saturday and rated the killer tornado that hit near El Reno Friday as an EF3. Kurtz says investigators have not yet determined exactly how far the tornado traveled on the ground or how wide it was.

Kurtz says an EF1 tornado struck in southwest Oklahoma City and EF0 tornadoes struck on both the city's southeast side and in Moore -- where a deadly tornado hit on May 20 and killed 24 people.

Kurtz says survey teams will return to the areas Sunday and Monday.

Two other adults were killed driving into high water areas, caused by flooding related to Friday's storms.
