Toni Young had a double-double of 15 points and 15 rebounds to lead Oklahoma State to a 65-52 win over the Kansas Jayhawks Saturday night.
Lindsey Keller scored 14 points, and Tiffany Bias and Kendra Suttles each chipped in 12 points for the Cowgirls.
Four players scored in double figures for the Jayhawks, led by Chelsea Gardner's 14 points. Natalie Knight and Carolyn Davis each scored 12 points, while Angel Goodrich added 10 points.
Neither team shot the ball particularly well, with Kansas hitting at just a 42.3 percent clip and OSU at 40 percent.
The first half was a back and forth affair until the Cowgirls used a 10-2 run to take a 30-22 lead with 1:45 remaining in the half. Kansas managed to score the final five points of the half to cut the deficit to 30-27 at the break.
In the second half, OSU maintained its lead, and then used a 7-0 run to extend the lead to nine points at 43-34 with 9:53 remaining in the game. The Cowgirls held the Jayhawks without a point for almost six minutes. Kansas got no closer than seven the rest of the game.
The Cowgirls are back in action Tuesday at 7 p.m. when they welcome West Virginia to Gallagher-Iba Arena.
