One of Oklahoma's own is helping youth cancer patients and their families.
The Toby Keith Foundation is building an 8.5 million dollar home near the OU Medical Center so families of children with cancer have some place to stay for free when they have treatment or a doctors appointment.
The home will include 12 overnight suites and four daytime suites.
"Our hope is that it's going to alleviate some of the financial, physical and emotional toll that's put on families as they help their child battle cancer," said Juliet Nees-Bright, Toby Keith Foundation.
Construction is set to begin in the spring of 2012 and is expected to be completed late fall of 2013.
