Norman police officers arrested a man early Monday morning accused of forcing his way into a Walgreen's pharmacy and stealing painkillers.
Around 1:20 a.m. on November 7, a man in a ski mask and gloves entered the store at N.E. 12th Avenue and Alameda. He forced his way into the pharmacy and demanded the pharmacist give him several types of painkillers. The employee complied. The suspect then bound the pharmacist's hands together and left the store. No one was hurt.
Norman police officers said they arrived just as the suspect was speeding out of the Walgreen's parking lot. Police stopped him and determined he matched the description of the robber. Witnesses in the store also positively identified the suspect.
Police arrested 28-year-old Harold Reed Holden. He's being held in the Cleveland County Detention Center on a complaint of armed robbery with a dangerous weapon.
