What a weekend! Saturday saw the warmest temperature so far this December. Sunday brought a slew of strong and severe storms, including ping pong ball size hail and a couple of tornadoes.
Now we're talking about colder weather as the first day of winter and Christmas approach.
Lows on Monday night will drop into the upper 20s and lower 30s under clear skies. We are expecting a lot of sunshine on Tuesday, but highs are expected to be colder than today.
As we look toward the middle and end of the week, chances for rain go up again. Highs Wednesday will be the coldest of the week as we struggle to reach the upper 30s and lower 40s. Rain chances will be highest in the afternoon and evening. By Wednesday evening, there will be a slight chance of a light wintry mix in northern Oklahoma. Again, don't expect much.
Looking further down the road, the weekend looks sunny and dry right now. Sunday is the first day of winter and highs will hover right around normal, in the lower 50s.
We might, MIGHT, have some precipitation the week of Christmas. What day, what kind, and how much is still up in the air. But stay tuned. That forecast will change a lot.
