It's not a good day to be out on the highways in Oklahoma City.
Two separate crashes involving five vehicles and one semi have caused major traffic tie ups on some of the city's main thoroughfares.
Emergency crews first responded to the scene of an accident involving a semi and a car on northbound I-35 just south of SW 19th St. in Moore right around 3:30 p.m.
Some lanes were blocked while crews worked to clear the scene. The blockage caused traffic in the area to be backed up from SW 19th St. all the way to Robinson in Norman.
Then crews were called out to a second accident, this one on the southbound side of I-235, at the junction with I-44, just after 4 p.m. One car and three pickups were involved in that crash.
Traffic from the second crash was backed up past Britton Rd. Rubberneckers were also gumming up the works on the northbound side of I-235.
The causes of both accidents are still under investigation. No injuries have been reported in either wreck.
