Yukon Celebrates Annual Children's Festival In May

The City of Yukon will celebrate the 18th Annual Festival of the Child from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 3 at the Yukon City Park, located at 2200 S. Holly Avenue.

The City of Yukon will celebrate the 18th Annual Festival of the Child from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 3 at the Yukon City Park, located at 2200 S. Holly Avenue.

This family-friendly event will feature 50 areas of fun including kayaking, pony rides, painting, wood art, storytelling, crafts and more.

Festival goers will enjoy live entertainment on the Westpointe Chrysler Jeep Dodge Art Stage from Chester the Clown, ventriloquist Professor QB, Tippi Toes Dance, Allegro Honor Choir, Storyteller Michael Corley, Xtreme Dance & Cheer and the Ladymon School of Scottish Dance. Kids will have the opportunity to sing, dance and dress up in between the scheduled performances.

The K12, Inc. Festival Fun Zone, located on the football field inside Yukon City Park, will feature laser tag, BMX and the OKC Energy. The event will also include a Caterpillar Crawl, 44' Obstacle Course, kite flying, martial arts, a chalk wall and other games.

Advanced $5 tickets may be purchased through May 2 at the Yukon Community Center, Robertson Activity Center, Jackie Cooper Gym, both Children's New World locations and Your Neighborhood Bank locations. Adult tickets are free.
