A family is without a home Sunday morning after a fire in a storage trailer spread to their house.
There were six people inside the home when it caught on fire. Firefighters faced difficulties getting water to the house, located on N.E. 71st Street.
The street was too narrow for the trucks to fit, so crews were forced to run water lines down the road.
The storage trailer was fully engulfed when crews arrived on the scene just after 1 a.m.
"But once we got set up, we had a continuous water supply. Crews did a good job maintaining continuous water throughout this entire incident," Battalion Chief Kirk Wright said.
Both the home and the storage trailer are total losses. No one was injured in the fire.
