Investigators say 73-year-old Sandra Blackwell was found dead on the floor of her home Tuesday. The OSBI said it is waiting on the medical examiner to determine how she died.
“You just can’t imagine anybody going in and hurting her,” neighbor Anne Raglin said.
Raglin and her husband said they have lived down the street for almost 50 years.
“She moved in about a month after we did,” Raglin said.
Raglin said she was a kind woman, who was involved with her church. Neighbors called her “Sandy.”
“She was a Boy Scout leader for a while there when her boys were growing up,” Raglin said. “My son was in her den, I guess that’s what they call it.”
The Pryor Creek Police Department said it’s been years since the city’s last homicide. Officers said the most recent homicide in town was back in October of 2004. The OSBI would not confirm whether agents suspect foul play in Blackwell’s death.
"We are not releasing details of injuries or any other things that might slow the investigation,” OSBI Assistant Special Agent In Charge Adam Whitney said.
“I wish they’d hurry up and find out what happened,” Raglin said.
We will continue to follow this story as it develops, and report if any arrests are made.
