TULSA, Oklahoma -- A tip led Tulsa Police to the arrest of a parole violator and person of interest in a recent murder. Joseph Richard Hermosillo, also known as "Joker," was taken into custody Sunday at about 12:45 a.m. at Club Imperio, 9300 E 46th Street.

Hermosillo was arrested on a parole violation after Oklahoma Department of Corrections officials say he cut off his ankle monitor about a week ago.

He was also named as a person of interest in the shooting death of Donnie Fitzpatrick earlier this month. Fitzpatrick's body was discovered January 14 near a creek in the 5800 block of East 15th Street.

Police said that Hermosillo removed his ankle monitor after hearing authorities wanted to interview him about Fitzpatrick.

Hermosillo is being held without bond.
