The Oklahoma City Zoo is reopening after being closed for almost two months during the coronavirus pandemic.
The zoo will open to ZOOfriends members on Monday, May 4, and to the public on Thursday, May 7.
The zoo will reopen in phases. The first phase will be the outdoor safari walk.
Beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, May 1, the zoo will be taking online reservations for its outdoor safari walk.
Timed tickets can be scanned (printed or on phone). Online reservations are required.
The outdoor safari walk will follow a one-way, two-mile trail through almost all of the zoo to see many of the patrons' favorite animals including the Asian elephants, bison, grizzly and black bears, Indian rhinos, Sumatran tigers, Western lowland gorillas, African lions and more.
