Five more virus-related deaths were reported and 47 more Oklahomans tested positive for coronavirus since Monday, according to daily numbers released by the Oklahoma State Department of Health.
A total of 6,137 Oklahomans have tested positive for COVID-19 and 318 total virus-related deaths were reported, the state health department said Tuesday.
The health department identified seven deaths. All of the deaths were reported between May 22 to 24.
Three deaths were reported in Tulsa County; a man aged 65 or older, a woman aged 65 or older and a man aged 50 to 64.
Two deaths were reported in Oklahoma County; one man aged 65 or older and a woman aged 65 or older.
One woman aged 36 to 49 died in Grady County. One man aged 65 or older died in Jackson County.
A total of 941 Oklahomans have been hospitalized due to the virus.
So far, 4,823 Oklahomans have recovered from the virus with 109 more cases considered recovered since Monday. Health officials said recovered means the patient is not hospitalized or deceased and it has been 14 days since the onset of symptoms or report.

On April 28, Gov. Kevin Stitt said anyone who wished to take a COVID-19 test could do so even if they are not presenting symptoms.

On April 22, Stitt introduced his multi-phase plan for reopening the state beginning with plans to reopen personal care businesses on Friday by appointment only.

Oklahoma City and Tulsa started reopening on Friday, May 1, after they allowed their shelter in place orders expire.
Stitt issued an executive order April 2 declaring a health emergency in all 77 Oklahoma counties.

The state health department advises anyone with COVID-19 symptoms such as shortness of breath, fever or coughing to stay home and limit person-to-person engagement.
