OESC Adopts New Digital ID Verification System To Stop Fraudulent Unemployment Claims

The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission has a new digital ID verification system for Oklahomans filing for unemployment.

For Oklahomans applying for unemployment online, they will now be required to verify their identity.

According to the OESC, the new system has been implemented due to an increase in fraudulent unemployment claims during the pandemic.

The OESC said that unemployment claims are already down 15% this week.
