Veteran Salute: Gene Krier

We continue to salute the men and women who served our country.

On Jan. 25, we want to salute Navy veteran Commander Gene Krier.

Gene made a lifetime career serving in the Navy, volunteering to fly aircraft carriers during the Vietnam War.

He worked his way up to the rank of commander before retiring to take care of his aging mother.

His nominator said not only was he an exceptional naval officer, he is the best dad and grandfather a family could ask for.
