A Tuttle family is feeling the isolation of the pandemic six months after their son was born.

They haven't been able take him home from the hospital due to several open heart surgeries.

“Absolutely terrifying, you don’t know what’s going to happen,” said dad Jonathon Johnson.

Jacoby Johnson was born in July with hypoplastic left heart syndrome. His heart is severely underdeveloped.

Jacoby has undergone two open heart surgeries and hasn't left OU Children's Hospital since birth.

“My other four kids haven’t been able to meet their little brother yet. It’s heartbreaking for them,” Johnson said.

Due to the pandemic, Mom and Dad are the only ones allowed to see Jacoby.

“I come home from work, shower, and hopefully we can find a babysitter, so we can both go up to see him,” Johnson said.

Usually though it's one of the other making the hour and half roundtrip drive everyday.

There is a private Facebook page called “Praying for Jacoby Johnson.”

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help pay for expenses.

“I just want people to know what there is hope. Doctors can fix the problem. Find your positive lining and stay strong,” Johnson said.

The family hopes Jacoby can finally be brought home in a few months

“Just keep walking forward, don’t stop,” the Army veteran said about his mentality.
