OG&E announced on Tuesday morning that hourly rolling service interruptions would be implemented for customers in Oklahoma and Arkansas following a mandate by the Southwest Power Pool.
Currently, 115,434 OG&E customers across the state of Oklahoma and parts of Arkansas have been affected by the outages according to the OG&E System Watch.
OG&E shared in a statement on Twitter that stated the duration of the interruptions is estimated to last about two hours at a time.
According to the service provider the following areas will be impacted by the interruptions: Oklahoma City, Muskogee, Tishomingo, Norman, Edmond, Paul's Valley, Enid, Woodward, Glenpool, Yukon, Ardmore, Kingston, Guthrie, Hennessey, MWC, Sapulpa, El Reno, Del City, Choctaw, Bethany, Warr Acres and For Smith Ar.
