A Pottawatomie County man who is charged with 92 counts of child pornography takes a plea deal.
In September 2020 Warren Bowman, 42, was arrested after being accused of sending child pornography to phone numbers at random.
On Thursday Bowman took a plea deal, agreeing to plead guilty to 62 of the charges. A judge sentenced him to 32 years behind bars.
“My understanding (is) he’ll be eligible for parole at 69 and a half (years old),” said District Attorney Allan Grubb. “He will be in prison for most of the reminder of the rest of his life.”
Shawnee police took a report from a mother last year whose son received a graphic video on his phone. She confronted the sender, identified as Bowman.
“I said why the F are you sending these nasty videos and pics to my son’s phone?” asked Britni Robertson, whose son received the video.

Investigators got right to work, citing in court documents there were as many as 50 victims and over 6,000 photographs discovered on Bowman’s phone.
“In many of the cases, we don’t know exactly where or who the victims are, but in this case, we do know that he distributed some of this porn to minors,” said Grubb. “Most people in that world, they try to hide their identities. He never made an effort, that we know of, to hide his identity.”
Bowman was out on bond and has since been taken into custody of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections where he’ll serve his sentence.
“We believe that he is now going to be where he needs to be, and that is locked up to protect our citizens and the children of the state of Oklahoma,” said Grubb.
Bowman was previously convicted of sex crimes in Arkansas and was already on the national lifetime sex offender registry for indecent exposure and sexual solicitation to a minor.
