Progress is being made on repairs to the USS Batfish, which was moved by floodwaters from its original position in Muskogee during the 2019 flood.

The nose of the World War II submarine was sitting on a sinkhole after the waters went down, leaving it at risk of snapping in half.

The Muskogee War Memorial Park posted photos Tuesday of the concrete poured into the hole below the Batfish.

Now that the sub is stabilized, crews can continue repair work. They plan on adding concrete pedestals and repainting it.
