'Love A Nurse, Shine The Light' Event Aims To Uplift Oklahoma Nurses

The Oklahoma Nurses Association is hosting "Love a Nurse, Shine The Light" events at various hospitals in the metro Saturday.

Integris Health chief nurse executive Kerri Bayer joined News 9 Saturday morning to explain the importance of the public event, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nurses said residents can celebrate by shining a light in their homes or by driving by a metro hospital with their headlights on.

The Skydance Bridge will also turn blue tonight in honor of the event.
