Oklahoma City police say a suspect is behind bars on Wednesday morning following a nine-hour standoff with police.
Police told News 9 that it initially started with some bail bondsmen trying to serve a warrant. OCPD was called when Andre Ellis came outside and starting waiving what witnesses say was a gun.
According to police, it was his child's mother who made the call to the police. When they arrived, the man proceeded to barricade himself inside the home.
Police had a tactical team out trying to negotiate with Ellis and say he was the only person inside the home during the standoff.
It is currently unclear where the mother and child were during that time, but police confirmed that they were safe.
Police say after nearly 9 hours of negotiations, Ellis was finally taken into custody at around midnight.
