Breeze Airways said it will no longer offer direct flights from San Antonio and New Orleans to the state of Oklahoma, which includes flights to and from Tulsa and Oklahoma City.
However, the airline said it will continue offering a direct flight from Oklahoma City to Tampa.
Breeze Airways will have the direct flights from Oklahoma City to San Antonio and New Orleans throughout the rest of the month but will suspend the flights beginning Nov. 28.
Tulsa’s direct flights to both cities will end Nov. 29.
The company added the flights back in May.
Gareth Edmonson-Jones, spokesperson for Breeze Airways spokesperson Gareth Edmonson-Jones said the decision was made due to low demand.
“It's correct we have suspended flights from Oklahoma City into New Orleans and San Antonio from Nov 28. These flights performed better in summer and demand to New Orleans has continued to struggle with low demand since Hurricane Ida. So Breeze will instead use those aircraft on flights that perform better in winter,” Edmonson-Jones’ statement said.
Breeze Airways said the company will consider adding new travel options for Oklahoma City for Summer 2022.
