30 Bison Transported To Oklahoma From Yellowstone National Park

30 Bison from Yellowstone have been sent to Ottawa County in Oklahoma.

Yellowstone bison are considered to be the closest genetically to the bison that lived in the pre-historic United States. The national park service says some bison must be cycled out of Yellowstone every now and then to keep the population at a manageable level and prevent diseases from spreading.
