1 Man Dies After Fire In NW OKC

A man died after a house fire Saturday in northwest Oklahoma City.

Firefighters arrived at the home just after 1 a.m. Saturday near Northwest 32nd Street and North Ann Arbor Avenue.

Crews found heavy smoke at the residence and the man inside. Fire officials said they removed the man from the burning home and began resuscitation efforts.

The man was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Firefighters later determined that smoke alarms were in the home but were not working.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
