Cleveland County Jail Reports Inmate Death

Friday afternoon, Cleveland County Detention staff discovered Joe Allen Sims Jr. unresponsive in his cell.

The detention employees and medical personnel began life-saving measures, but the inmate was not able to be revived.

CCSO and OSBI detectives are conducting a joint investigation.
