Edmond Santa Fe High School is partnering with the Oklahoma City County Health Department to test those potentially exposed to tuberculosis.
"Edmond Public Schools is working collaboratively with health officials and following their protocols to provide parents with needed information," Director of Communications Susan Parks-Schlepp said. "The health and safety of students and staff is the district's highest priority."
The Oklahoma City County Health Department:
“OCCHD is addressing a tuberculosis exposure at Edmond Santa Fe High school. Affected students and staff have been notified. We will be conducting testing for those affected in an effort to maintain the health and safety of the community.
This is not a public health emergency – just a public health concern – which is why OCCHD has partnered with Edmond public schools to ensure the safety and well-being of the students and staff.”
