The Department of Justice awarded the City of Tulsa with a $1 million grant to assist with the search for Tulsa Race Massacre victims.
Tulsa is one of only two cities to get the Emmett Till grant, which pays for cold case investigations related to civil rights.
The city said the money will help fund its goal of linking human remains found in Oaklawn Cemetery with descendants alive today.
