AG Gentner Drummond Requests Further Investigation Into McCurtain Co. Sheriff

Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond has requested the OSBI to further investigate McCurtain County Sheriff, Kevin Clardy, in regard to the racist and threatening comments made that were published in a recording.

The recording, captured by Gazette reporter Bruce Willingham, revealed county officials discussing plans to beat, kill and bury two newspaper reporters.

Drummond said in a letter that the investigation includes several potential grounds for the removal of Clardy from office.
