The owner of a plumbing business in Oklahoma County is accused of assaulting and kidnapping one of his employees.

Deputies with the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office arrested Greg Bryant last month.

The alleged victim told Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office investigators he showed up for work at Bryant Plumbing in Nicoma Park last month, when he was clubbed over the head with a hammer. He told investigators he was knocked unconscious and hogtied.

“When he woke up he found the owner of the business, Greg Bryant on top of him,” said Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Deputy Aaron Brilbeck. “It looks like the employer believed his employee was stealing tools from him.”

The victim told investigators, "he woke up on the shop floor with Greg Bryant choking him,” and "his hands and feet were zip tied together."

“He lays there for a little while. The assailant in this case steps away for a few moments. He’s able to get up, free himself from the zip ties, briefly,” said Brilbeck.

But according to the victim, Bryant and another coworker returned.

“The person that attacked him approaches him again, tells him to put those zip ties back on or I’m going to hit you in the face with a sledge hammer. Mr. Bryant came back in the room with a gun and threatened to kill (the victim),” said Brilbeck.

After his assailants stepped away for a second time, the victim said he called 911.

911 call: Yes, I'm at Bryant Plumbing off of Post. They have me zip tied up, and they're beating me up.
911: Who's got you? Who?

Just seconds into the recorded call to 911 the line went silent. Commotion is later heard and almost immediately is followed by the sound of a dial tone.

Caller: Come on. (Unintelligible)
911: Hello, is anybody there?

“He tells his assailant hey, I’ve called the cops. His assailant cuts him free and he goes to the hospital,” said Brilbeck.

The following day deputies arrested Greg Bryant and a gun was recovered from his vehicle.

Charges have not been formally filed. According to investigators more arrests could be made.
