It was a long time coming: Fall weather is finally settling into Green Country!

Sunday’s cold front is paying big-time dividends for our Monday as a cooler and drier airmass slides into the region. Instead of highs in the 90s, we’re looking for highs in the low to mid-70s for our Monday! Winds will subside in the afternoon with mostly sunny skies.

Monday Highs 10/14/24

A second fall cold front arrives on Tuesday to reinforce the fall airmass. Northeast winds will quickly increase in Tuesday's midday hours with gusts of 25 to 30 miles per hour. Behind that front, some of our northern counties could experience falling temperatures Tuesday afternoon as well.

The drawback of another fall cold front is the increasing danger of fire. With strong winds, very low humidity, and bone-dry conditions Tuesday will be a high fire danger across Green Country, so please don’t burn Tuesday!

Next 7 Days 10/14/24

By Wednesday morning, our temperatures plummet with lows falling into the 30s. It’s looking increasingly likely that some areas north and northeast of Tulsa could see a light freeze Wednesday morning! Talk about weather whiplash!

Strong south winds will return late in the week, but seasonable fall temperatures look to continue from late week into the weekend. Unfortunately, our rain chances are still slim to none for the next week, if not longer.

What are the major traffic projects around Tulsa this week?

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) and Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA) provide daily details on several traffic advisories for the Tulsa area and surrounding regions.
