What is the weather like in Oklahoma on Monday?
Oklahoma had severe storms overnight and into early Monday morning.
Things have calmed down, but the risk of severe storms and tornadoes is not over.
The risk for localized flooding, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes will be present in mid- and late-morning.
Pottawatomie and Seminole County are in a flood watch.
As the storms roll through, wind gusts could reach up to 60-70 mph, and a few embedded tornadoes are possible, particularly in areas near the line of storms.
Central Oklahoma could still see storms between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m.
East Oklahoma could see them between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m.
There’s also a concern for flooding, as some areas could see 2-3 inches of rain when the system moves out. Be prepared for possible power outages and hazardous driving conditions.
Once the storms pass, the severe weather threat will diminish by late morning. However, the weather won't calm completely.
By afternoon, skies will begin to clear, but strong southwest winds will take over. Gusts will reach 30-40 mph, creating a breezy and unsettled afternoon.
Highs on Monday will be in the 60s amid severe weather.
Tuesday looks dry, but rain and storms could return Wednesday.
COLD FRONT:
