Clouds, drizzle, and gusty winds set the stage for Oklahoma’s Friday, with temperatures varying widely across the state.
Heading into the weekend, expect spotty rain overnight, clearing skies by Saturday morning, and a mix of mild temperatures and breezy conditions.
However, changes are on the horizon as colder weather looms for next week.
What is the weather like on Friday?
Showers and patchy drizzle will try to develop Friday morning while humidity is slowly increasing across the state.
Winds are up out of the south and will stay gusty all day. Highs will climb into the 50s and 60s.
Look for the best rain chances in central and eastern Oklahoma on Friday evening into the night.
Not everyone in the metro will see rain Friday night, and those who do won't see much in the rain gauges.
The highest totals will be in eastern Oklahoma, where a few thunderstorms are possible.
The rain will end Friday night, and the skies will clear out Saturday.
What is the weather like this weekend?
Highs on Saturday will be in the 60s with much calmer winds.
Sunday looks nice, too, but it's windy, and clouds roll in late.
Will Oklahoma Have A White Christmas?
Statistically, Oklahoma has a low chance of snow on Christmas Day.
It hasn’t snowed here on Christmas in 12 years, and the last nine Christmases have been snow-free.
However, there’s still hope as we track a couple of systems closer to the holiday. Stay tuned!
