A cold front is moving through the state on Sunday morning, bringing cooler temperatures.
Highs are in the 80s today, but temperatures will drop into the 70s on Monday!
What is the weather like on Monday?
Monday will be cooler, with lows in the morning and the 50s.
Temperatures will climb into the mid-70s on Monday, a much-needed break in the heat.
What does the weather look like for the rest of this week?
Temperatures will continue to fall as a second cold front enters Oklahoma Tuesday evening. Temperatures Wednesday morning will be in the 60s.
Saturday, there is a potential for some much-needed rain as a system moves in from the southwest.
EMSA HEAT SAFETY TIPS
-HYDRATION is key in preventing heat-related illness. Drink plenty of water or electrolyte replacement drinks several hours before and during long exposure to the summer heat.
Wear light-colored, loose fitting clothing and a wide-brimmed hat if working outdoors, and take plenty of shade breaks.
No alcohol or caffeine.
If you do not have air conditioning, find a cooling station or public space (such as libraries or malls) during the day.
Don’t limit your use of air conditioning.
Use the buddy system if working outdoors and check on elderly neighbors.
Keep a cellphone on you at all times when outdoors, including walking, running daily errands, yard work or sports and physical activity.
