Oklahomans can expect mild temperatures and minimal travel disruptions as Christmas approaches, according to meteorologist Andrew Adams.
However, rain and storm chances will increase early in the week before giving way to a sunny and dry Christmas Day.
When Does Winter Start?
Saturday marks the official start of winter, and while temperatures will dip slightly to the 40s, it’s shaping up to be a dry day.
If you’re planning a weekend getaway or just a stroll to admire Christmas lights, the weather should cooperate.
Christmas Week Forecast
Monday:
Looking ahead to Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, the forecast calls for highs in the 50s and 60s.
It won’t be a white Christmas, but we’ll take the mild weather!
Additional rain could develop by late Christmas into Thursday.
While snow lovers might be disappointed, this much-needed precipitation will be a welcome gift after a dry month.
