Weather Blog: Dry Weather, Seasonal Chill Continue Across Oklahoma

It was a beautiful day across Oklahoma, with sunny skies and afternoon highs in the lower 50s. A light breeze added a slight chill, especially as temperatures began to dip this evening. Tonight, expect lows to drop into the 30s, with a dry air mass continuing to dominate.

Dry Streak Persists

After a record-breaking wet start to November, Oklahoma has entered a prolonged dry period. No significant precipitation is expected for the rest of the month, leaving the state with a "bone dry" forecast. For those running heaters, consider using a humidifier to combat the dry indoor air.

Cold Air Reinforcement on the Way

Another cold front will move through on Sunday, bringing a north wind and reinforcing the cooler air. Highs on Sunday will range from the 40s to low 50s, with overnight lows dropping into the 20s. While Oklahoma stays dry, regions around the Great Lakes will face heavy lake-effect snow, with some areas expecting up to 5 feet.

Looking Ahead

Oklahoma’s weather pattern remains stable, with no major systems in sight. A slight warm-up is expected mid-next week, but another shot of colder air could arrive by next weekend. For now, enjoy the sunshine and seasonable conditions!

Friday morning will start out very chilly with temperatures in the low to mid-20s. If you're going out to find those Black Friday deals, make sure to layer up.

It's a cold one out the door Friday morning! Temps should rebound to near 50 with light winds and lots of sunshine in the afternoon.

The weekend forecast looks seasonable and quiet.

Temperatures should climb back into the 50s on Saturday before the next cold front comes Saturday night, but it doesn't look to be very strong.

As of now, temperatures hang out in the upper 40s to low 50s next week with no sign of rain or snow for most of us.
