Sunny Start To The Weekend After Early Showers, Rain And Cooler Weather Ahead

Heading into the weekend, expect spotty rain overnight, clearing skies by Saturday morning, and a mix of mild temperatures and breezy conditions.

However, changes are on the horizon as colder weather looms for next week.

A Beautiful Start to Saturday

1. Sunshine is taking over as clouds clear out across Oklahoma this morning.
2. Highs this afternoon will reach the low 60s, making for a pleasant day despite a chilly start.
3. Current temperatures feel colder due to a west-northwest wind, with wind chills in the 30s to low 40s across northern and central Oklahoma.
4. Out west, temperatures feel even colder, with wind chills in the 20s and teens in parts of northwestern Oklahoma and the Panhandle.

Rain Chances Return Tomorrow Night

1. Clouds will build back across central and eastern Oklahoma Sunday as moisture moves in from the south.
2. A few showers, and possibly some rumbles of thunder, are expected Sunday night into Monday morning.
3. Rainfall will primarily affect central, eastern, and southern Oklahoma but is expected to remain light.

Highs on Saturday will be in the 60s with clear skies.

Sunday looks nice, too, but it's windy, and clouds roll in late. 

Will Oklahoma Have A White Christmas?

Statistically, Oklahoma has a low chance of snow on Christmas Day.

It hasn’t snowed here on Christmas in 12 years, and the last nine Christmases have been snow-free.
