Severe Weather Sweeps Through Oklahoma Monday, Rain Expected This Afternoon

Significant storm activity rolled through Oklahoma on Monday morning, bringing severe weather, including hail and damaging winds.

This comes after a string of severe storms on Sunday spawned several tornadoes in Oklahoma, damaging homes across the state.

Here is a list of current road closings due to powerline repairs:

1. OKC- Bigwood Dr from SE 84th St to SE 82nd St
2. OKC- Timberwood Ln from SE 84th St to SE 82nd St.
3. OKC - Woodhue St from SE 84th St to SE 82nd St.
4. OKC - Azurewood Dr from SE 84th St to SE 82nd St.

Several School Districts Canceled Or Moved Virtual Due To Storms

ACTIVE WARNINGS AND WATCHES:

A tornado watch has been issued for Carter, Garvin, Hughes, Lincoln, Love, Murray, Okfuskee, Pontotoc, Pottawatomie, and Seminole County until 6:00 p.m.

Another large area of storms has moved in overnight. Some of these storms are severe with flooding rains.

More rain is expected throughout the day on Monday.

While the drought has been the headline, flooding has been a concern in the areas with the highest totals.

Monday's highs are in the 70s with some wind.
