Temperatures Warm Up This Weekend, Rain Chances Ahead For Christmas Week

As winter officially begins this weekend, we’re looking at a dynamic weather pattern leading up to Christmas.

Let’s dive into what’s in store for Oklahoma City and surrounding areas this holiday week.

What is the weather like in Oklahoma this weekend?

1. Saturday: Morning lows around 20°F with highs reaching 60°F in some parts of the state.
2. Sunday: Highs in the upper 50s to near 60°F.

Southwest Oklahoma could see highs in the mid-60s, offering a pleasant break from the cold.

When Does Winter Start?

Saturday marks the official start of winter, and while temperatures will dip slightly to the 40s, it’s shaping up to be a dry day.

If you’re planning a weekend getaway or just a stroll to admire Christmas lights, the weather should cooperate.

Christmas Forecast

Looking ahead to Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, the forecast calls for highs in the 50s and 60s.

It won’t be a white Christmas, but we’ll take the mild weather!

Rain chances return early next week, with the best shot for showers on Monday and Tuesday.

Additional rain could develop by late Christmas into Thursday.
