We cool off into the 50s overnight, then warm right back into the 90s on Thursday.

What is the weather like in Oklahoma on Thursday?
The early October heat will kick back in today, with highs above 90 for most.
Afternoon temps will remain on the hot side for Thursday and into the weekend.
Expect temperatures in the 90s throughout the state.
Fire danger increases this afternoon with high wind gusts and lowering humidity.
We need rain, but that is nowhere to be seen!
Northerly winds behind a front will keep some of us cooler on Friday, but hotter-than-normal temps are what most Oklahomans will see the next few days.
Winds pick up Saturday, but highs are in the same range as Friday.
EMSA HEAT SAFETY TIPS
-HYDRATION is key in preventing heat-related illness. Drink plenty of water or electrolyte replacement drinks several hours before and during long exposure to the summer heat.
Wear light-colored, loose fitting clothing and a wide-brimmed hat if working outdoors, and take plenty of shade breaks.
No alcohol or caffeine.
If you do not have air conditioning, find a cooling station or public space (such as libraries or malls) during the day.
Don’t limit your use of air conditioning.
Use the buddy system if working outdoors and check on elderly neighbors.
Keep a cellphone on you at all times when outdoors, including walking, running daily errands, yard work or sports and physical activity.
