On Monday, more dangerous heat is the story! Be on the lookout for feel-like temps from 100 to 115 degrees.
The hottest conditions will be in eastern Oklahoma, and there's a very slight chance for isolated storms to develop later.
Monday night, the winds will ramp up. This will increase the fire danger some for Tuesday, and winds will be out of the southwest with gusts to 30 mph.
Tuesday afternoon will be hot again, with highs near 100 degrees and heat index values in from 100 to 110 degrees.
As a weak boundary moves into the northwest, look for a few isolated storms. These could be severe with large hail, and damaging winds.
The next bit of relief will arrive on Thursday as a weak cold front moves in. This could spark thunderstorms for Independence Day.
The best chance for rain will be along the front as it pushes south. This cold front will knock down the temperatures to highs in the 80s.
