The Tulsa Fire Department received more than 600 smoke detectors on Thursday.
The donation came during a special event featuring News On 6's Lori Fullbright and a cast member from the CBS show Fire Country.
Tulsa Fire PIO Andy Little said the timing of this donation is perfect.
Little said TFD's program that hands out free smoke detectors ran out of money right before they found out about the donation.
Members of the Tulsa Fire Department from Station 15 were in attendance.
They were on the scene of the last house fire fatality in Tulsa. The next day, they handed out 24 smoke detectors to people in the area.
